Anthony J. Baia
Anthony J. Baia, 79, died peacefully at 11:15 p.m. Feb. 10, 2021, after complications from pulmonary hypertension.
His family, lifelong friends and countless business relationships will recognize “Tony” best as loyal, dependable, trustworthy, devoted, kind and mild-mannered. He always had the right thing to say.
He was born June 20, 1941, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Frank Baia and Marie Ruggierro, but spent the majority of his life in Florida as a beloved husband and father, as he achieved acclaim as a printing industry thought leader, top corporate printing and paper senior executive and as a highly successful entrepreneur and widely respected proud owner of Amelia Island Graphics for 27 years. Among his many years of volunteer service to his community, he was also especially proud to serve as a member of the Masons, Shriners and Rotary, as well as on the boards of the Chamber of Commerce, Council on Aging and Optimists.
His favorite pastimes were shag dancing at Sliders, utilizing the latest tech at home and in the shop, and supporting as many local fundraising events as possible.
He leaves behind his brother, Frank Baia; daughters, Linda Lee Baia and Sandra Baia Overton; and granddaughter Nicole Mari Rubin.
