Four vehicles stolen from local dealership Wednesday night

Detectives are seeking the suspects.

Wednesday night, Jan. 31, just before midnight, several individuals attempted to break into the Rick Keffer Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep dealership by breaking a glass door, but were unsuccessful, according to a news release from Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper.

The suspects then went to the Ron Anderson Chevrolet-Buick-GMC dealership and broke into a door by the service area. The suspects took keys and stole four vehicles from the service area and left. All four vehicles were recovered on Thursday morning. One was found abandoned by the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Mission Church in Yulee, and three were found abandoned in Jacksonville, according to the release.

Leeper said Nassau County Sheriff’s Office detectives are looking for four black males and one white male in connection with the thefts. The suspects also abandoned a stolen vehicle at the Ron Anderson dealership that was stolen on the west side of Jacksonville, which was used for transportation to Nassau County.
