Landscape Matters Class

Landscape Matters

Nassau County Master Gardener Carol Ann Atwood will conduct a Landscape Matters Shade Gardening class from 10-11 a.m. on March 2 at the Yulee Extension office. The class will include a description of landscape plants that thrive in the shade, including plants, flowers, groundcover and trees.

On March 9, Extension Director/Horitculture Agent Rebecca Jordi and Master Gardener Bea Walker will conduct a Landscape Matters session on the importance of pollinators in the garden. Topics covered will include different kinds of pollination, the primary pollinators and how to attract Mason bees. Registration for those wishing to participate in the optional “Make & Take” workshop to construct a bean can bee house is March 2.

Classes are free and open to the public. Optional extra charges may apply for “make and take” projects. For information or registration, visit http://nassau.ifas.ufl.edu or call 530-6350.
