Community Appreciation Day
The Amelia Island Museum of History will host Community Appreciation Day 2016 on June 25 featuring family-friendly activities for children and booths and presentations from local artists, historical associations and first-person presenters from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A raffle will be held in order to raise money for scholarships, featuring prizes donated from local businesses. The museum is also calling upon the community to bring in its own pieces of history.
“To contribute to our mission of creating access to our area’s rich history, we are encouraging residents to loan any historically relevant documents to the museum for scanning purposes,” said museum officials.
The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with free admission for Nassau County residents and docent tours at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
