"We have been steady and consistent all day," said Bob Evans, clerk of the Atlantic Avenue Rec Center polling location. "It's better than expected."

"We have been steady with a 35% voter turnout so far," said a gentleman waving at voters as they turned into Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church on 14th St., around 5 p.m.
